Sam Meranto | Spiritual Guided Meditation Expert

Sam Meranto was born November 3, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY. He is a father of six children. He has been married to Cynthia for 30 years. She has worked along side him in the office since 1981.

I thank God for giving me the gift of being able to help people like I’ve been able to do. I learned of this gift back in 1953, when I was in Worcester, Massachusetts, a newlywed working as a door-to-door salesman.
One day I’d decided I wasn’t going to go home until I made one more sale. And I did. I made a sale to a woman and then I hopped into my 1952 green Plymouth and drove off. As I was driving, I saw a black cloud coming down behind me. I turned on the radio and learned that a tornado had hit where I was standing minutes before, killing 75 people.

The lady who purchased that last sale from me was responsible for me leaving at the right time. Ten thousand people were injured in that tornado. The hospitals were all jammed. They put people in Holy Cross College, Worcester Poly-Tech, and all over in different places. Patients were sleeping in hallways because there wasn’t room in the hospitals. Houses were destroyed, brick buildings leveled. It was a huge area where thousands of people lived. The destruction looked like the Twin Towers disaster of September 11.
I lived across the street from Worcester Poly-Tech. The next morning as I was coming out of my home, who should I see walking on the sidewalk but the woman I’d made my last sale to the day before. Emergency crews could have housed her in any number of places, but they put her across the street from where I lived. She wandered out of the school lobby where the Red Cross had placed her. People were sleeping on the floor and she just got up and left. It was like she saved my life, now God wanted me to help her.

I tapped her on the shoulder and said, “Hi, remember me?” She was in shock. “Where are my kids, where are my kids?” she asked. I took her by the hand and led her into my apartment. I sat her down in an old-fashioned green chair. I’d been practicing the art of relaxation on friends in that same green chair. I helped people who had problems and bad habits. I’d been doing it since I was 13 years old and I was experimenting with people between my salesman jobs.

After I relaxed the distraught woman, I told her that there had been a tornado that her kids were safe and everything had been taken care of. I snapped my fingers and she opened her eyes and she came out of shock, like she was just waking up. “Are you sure that everything is all right?” she asked. Three weeks later there was a phone call at my office. That same woman left a message saying she had found her kids and everything was all right. She thanked me for my help.
